Mickey and Me Blog Hop!

I participated in a Recipe Swap and decided to make Mickey's Skor Bars and that is my post for today.

I used Sandylion Santa Mickey Paper and Michaels Recollections for the rest.

Created a Mickey Santa using Paper Dolls Dress up and Mickey and Friends.  I found making Mickey into a Santa far more challenging than I thought he would be!  I hope you like him!

Today is Thanksgiving in Canada so in honour I decided to make a turkey card.  I cut the turkey from Animal Kingdom using Recollections paper by Michaels.

Put my turkey together, layering the feathers.  I added a few extra feathers.

Added some ribbon and leaves paper from the same Debbie Mum paper as yesterday.  Added a sentiment and voila!!!

So.......What's New Blog Hop!

Today is the So......What's New Blog Hop!

Seeing as Halloween is just around the corner I decided to make a Halloween card today for the Hop!

I used the Close to My Heart Witch from the Wicked set.  I stamped it on orange paper and embossed it with Stampendous Kaleidoscope embossing powder.

I then cut a frame from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge.  I just opened it for this Hop and can tell it is going to be one of my favorites.  The frame is cut from MakingMemories Toil & Trouble paper pack.

I placed the frame on top of the witch image and raised it with pop dots.

I then cut a piece of paper from the Debbie Mumm - Harvest & Holiday paper pack for my background.  Pop doted my frame and witch to the background

I added some ribbon that I got at Michaels and a sentiment out of the same orange card stock!

And it's finished!  Here are some close up pics to show the detail

New Camera

I decided to join the world of DSLR camera.,

I bought a Canon T3...

I was at my parents house the other day messing around with my camera.  They have a porcelain clown that sits on a wine rack wrought iron bike. This is the furthest back I took a picture...just to give you an idea of what he looks like.

The point of my post is that I took a close up shot of his face......I am amazed at the quality of the picture.  I have taken some good pics with my new camera but this one is by far my Favorite!

Speedy Recovery Card

My Assistant at work had surgery and I made her this card.  I am totally lost at work without her so I truly meant "speedy recovery" cause I needed her back!!!!!

My First Tear Bear

In honour of National Scrapbooking Day I thought I would try something new that I had never tried before.

This is my first tear bear.  Paper is from The Beary Scrap their paper is thick and works awesome.  The eyes and nose is download from their free download section.

I am struggling with the fluffing part but practice makes perfect I would assume.

Meeting Santa Layouts

I thoroughly enjoyed my scrapbooking weekend away.  I had a great time, with a great bunch of ladies.  I had planned to get all 15 years of layouts done unfortunately I was only able to actually complete 4.

Not much to post

Sorry I haven't posted in a week or so.....I am going to a scrapbooking weekend next weekend so

I am preparing my pictures and papers for my layouts I hope to get done next weekend.

I have had my kids pictures taken with Santa every year and have decided I am going to create a scrapbook of them.  My 15 year old daughter hasn't been too keen in the past couple years to get her picture taken but I tell her that as long as she lives in my house then she will have her pictures taken with Santa!  Buys me a couple more years.

It's amazing watching them grow and change when every year at the same time of the year they have their pictures done.
